The 36th class of graduates of the County's Police Academy was the largest ever.  We were diverse in geography, ethhnicity, age, background, and profession.  What fun it was for 18 weeks!
The reality is that police work is dangerous every day.  I knew Mark Filer from Churchill High School and remember when he was killed in the line of duty...
I had to miss a lot of other important events, but my attendance record was 100%, and I'm glad I participated.  (It was fun to do this with my husband too!)
