Creative Campaigning
Published: Tuesday, October 27, 2009 7:00 am By: Adam Pagnucco Source: Maryland Politics WatchFormer Delegate Cheryl Kagan (D-17), who is challenging incumbent Senator Jennie Forehand, held a contest among her supporters to craft a new drink called a "Cheryl-tini" in her honor. The drink's recipe was unveiled at her fundraiser tonight. Just tell us this isn't the most creative campaign flyer so far of the 2010 cycle.

Adam:
I invite your readers to try a "Cheryl-tini" at some upcoming campaign event (or make one at home!). In the meantime, I am writing to clarify that this was not a "campaign flyer" distributed anywhere but a one-pager simply posted by the bar at last night's fundraiser.

Well, I experienced the "Cheryltini," at the event, and the drink is somewhat like Cheryl. However, it is a watered-down version and pales compared to the real Cheryl.
Like the drink, the real Cheryl is smart, strong, and fiercely independent. But she has so many other wonderful qualities, which no drink, even the "Cheryltini" can possibly have. Cheryl has a genuinely jubilant, bubbly personality, which is full of energy and life. She also possesses the backbone and character, which District 17 Senator in its next Senator. All of these personality characteristics, District 17 could most certainly use in its next Senator, along with Cheryl’s political and very successful private experiences. I am convinced that the electorate, in District 17 will become convinced that Cheryl is the best person, now, in these difficult times, when we need a person like Cheryl to represent us, and she will win and do a fantastic job representing us, as our next Senator and, additionally be a very strong asset to Maryland’s Senate.
