Kagan hires aide for Senate campaign
Published: Wednesday, May 26, 2010 7:00 am By: Nesa Nourmohammadi Source: Gazette.netDistrict 17 Senate candidate Cheryl C. Kagan (D) announced the hiring of William Rice as an aide to her campaign.
Rice is a Montgomery County native who most recently worked for progressive candidates and causes in eastern Maine, where he was a member of his county and state Democratic committees, on the executive committee of the county Democratic Party and secretary of an area labor rights organization, Kagan reported.
Since moving back to the Washington, D.C., area, he has been working with the liberal advocacy group Americans for Democratic Action, Kagan reported.
"I think in tough economic and fiscal times like these, it's especially important to have a tested leader representing Montgomery County in Annapolis," Rice said in a prepared statement.
