Maryland LCV Releases Second Round of Endorsements
Published: Monday, July 26, 2010 7:00 am Source: Maryland League of Conservation VotersVoters will be sending a minimum of 26 new legislators to Annapolis in January. The Maryland League endorsed 10 candidates for open seats in the House and is endorsing six candidates who are challenging incumbents in the House or Senate.
The seven Senate and 49 House endorsed candidates have all demonstrated pro-conservation records, leadership on environmental issues, and an open-door policy when it comes to working with the environmental community. Earlier this year, the Maryland League endorsed Governor Martin O'Malley, Attorney General Doug Gansler, and Comptroller Peter Franchot, as well as 16 Senate candidates and 41 candidates for the Maryland House of Delegates for re-election.
Be on the look out for more endorsements of candidates who can be counted on to protect Maryland's environment.
